A hand up, not a handout. We're a community-funded pantry where neighbors help neighbors put good food on the table — with dignity, warmth, and zero judgment.
Visit Us Our Neighbors' StoriesMulliken is a village of about 500 people — and when times get hard here, there's no big agency around the corner. There's us. This pantry exists because neighbors, local churches, small businesses, and families decided nobody in our community should go hungry. Every can on our shelves was given by someone who cares. We are funded by our community, not by government programs — which means when you give, it goes straight to a neighbor's table, and when you receive, it comes straight from a neighbor's heart.
As one of the few remaining choose-your-own pantries, our clients handpick items to create customized grocery boxes based on their preferences, family size, and eligibility. Our shelves stock a reliable range of canned goods, dry goods, proteins, dairy, eggs, and household necessities. Selections vary day to day, but our volunteers will walk you through what's in stock and help you build a nutritious box — quality products, in a dignified setting.

Everybody hits a rough patch — a layoff, a medical bill, a season where the math just doesn't work. Coming to the pantry isn't a failure. It's what the pantry is for. A veteran getting by on Social Security. A single mom caught in a paperwork gap. A family between jobs. A husband fighting cancer. Behind every food box is a real story — and they're the reason we open our doors every week.

All summer long (and sometimes into fall), we host a free ice cream social every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the park. It's not about the ice cream — okay, it's a little about the ice cream — it's about neighbors sitting down together. Everyone is welcome. Donations are appreciated but never expected.

Your generous donations help us sustain our mission of alleviating hunger and fostering a sense of community in Mulliken. Choose to make a one-time contribution or support us monthly. We're 100% volunteer-run with no paid staff — every dollar goes to food, heat, lights, and keeping the doors open. Together We Can provide to those in need. Together We Can support our neighbors. Together We Can build a stronger community.
We are deeply grateful to the local businesses and organizations whose generosity keeps our doors open and our shelves full for the families who count on us.
